Hotel General Manager – Budget Hotel in South London

Location:             South London

Salary:                  Up to £40,000

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for assisting with the planning and managing of the operations of the hotel to achieve customer satisfaction and high-quality service whilst meeting and exceeding financial goals.  The Hotel General Manager will be also responsible for planning, organising, directing and coordinating management activities of the operations whilst also demonstrating and communicating short- and long-term business goals.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•Overall management and strategic direction of the hotel
•Oversee the operations functions of the hotel,
•Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets through establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations and policy & procedural implementation
•Ensure the constant and consistence implementation of a high-quality service at all level and throughout the Hotel
•Assist in the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget
•Actively involved in the recruitment process of leadership positions within the operating departments
•Evaluates changes in guest needs, segmentation and competitors, to recommend appropriate product and service as well as operational changes as necessary.
•Ensures high satisfaction of guests and employees alike
•Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls
•Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

 QUALIFICATIONS:

•Previous experience in a Senior Manager role in a branded Hotel
•Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls
•In-depth knowledge of the hotel / leisure / service sector
•Be passionate about the operation with a hands-on attitude
•Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high level of perform and exceed targets
•Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
•University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
•Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
